Josephine's Bar & Brasserie - Riverwood

Their seafood risotto is to die for. Fresh prawns squid mussels. Also went to pub for $12 menu for a cheaper main to accompany the seafood risotto. Got chicken snitzel and it was on point too.

The brasserie is part of a Hotel which has been renovated beautifully. The menu is excellent and available online to view. Their desserts are delicious, and all in all this was a great venue - especially on a hot day where the air conditioning was greatly received. The staff were happy and helpful and we will definitely back. Prices are reasonable especially for the quality of the food.

I have not been to Riverwood Inn for years and with my parents, daughter and wife, we thought we would give it a try and go to Josephine's for lunch. We all found the Inn to modernised and the Restaurant to well seated and plenty of room. The menu is not large but covers the food we wanted to try. We started with the Mezze Plate for staters, it had a lot to just pick at with bread to brake up. The one plate between the 5 of us was plenty. My Mum and Dad chose to split the Seafood Platter between them. It was really good and there was so much on it they could not eat it all. I had the seafood risotto. I have never been a fan of risotto's but this was really good with a good mixture of seafood to go with the rice(I ate the lot.) My wife had the grilled barramundi and my daughter had the grilled chicken. Both dishes came with a good serving of side dishes. All of the food came out in good time and was hot. The staff were very friendly but being a Pub/Inn the wine and beer was a little pricey. Would recommend this place to anyone and go back there again.

Tried this eatery on a friend's recommendation. We were not disappointed. The food was prepared and delivered to our table fairly quickly, the portions were generous and the taste was very good. I recommend the seafood plate and my wife enjoyed the Grilled Barramundi fillet.
