Rishi's Jungle Cafe - Rishīkesh

Rishi’s cafe can not be described in words. Such a calm lovely place in forest beside a mountain stream in Tapovan with full of positive vibes. One can sit hours sipping coffee/ tea only to listen the melodious sound of flowing mountain stream. Mr Rishi has maintained this places so well that it’s simplicity blends well in the surrounding. Choicest plants trees are planted in around cafe. One can see fruit laden trees , blooming flowers and feel the tranquility. The food served here is quite simple but the local kulath/ Kurtha dal stuff parathas served with chutney yogurt chai is simply amazing. There is a small parking space for few cars but it’s recommended to walk to this cafe to feel the nature its surroundings. Cafe starts at 0800hrs. It’s highly recommended to visit Rishi’s place enjoy the tranquility food. This cafe also has few rooms that are let out for extended period of stay. Also they arrange for river rafting , bungee jumping other water sports (contact Mr Rishi).

Bit far away from main Tapovan area. Taste was good. Nothing extraordinary. Location, greenery and the sound of small water fall makes it apart from others. Google map works great to find this location. Avoid going by Car. We tried Veg cheese Sandwiches which was good along with Ginger, Honey tea (cold) and Lemonana (Lemon mont juice) both of them were just perfect for morning breakfast.

It's a little beautiful restaurant in tapovan on way to the waterfall. Now a days no too much crowd in the restaurant. Restaurant is in open area not closed like others restaurant in Rishikesh Tapovan, so you don't have to worry about covid in case if you do and I'll say you should definitely worried about covid. It's a charming little place with good food. Most of the time you have to wait a bit longer than usual for the orders because they cook at that time. Normally they don't have pre cooked or almost done food in the freezer waiting for you too order. So you will get genuine taste and fresh food. Also you can buy some herbal tea, cosmetic products and Yoga mat as well here. You should definitely try Ragi flour momos.

Cafe location is to good with the waterflow next to it adds the feel to cafe. Food was tasty with ok prices. Must visit place also its on the way to waterfall

This was my favourite place to go to in Tapovan, set in pure nature, amazing home cooking and beautiful family. It felt like a second home while spending 5 months during lockdown in India Rishikesh, a true gem. I hold many wonderful memories from here and cannot wait to come back.
