Amy's Fish Chips - Richmond Hill

The best fish and chips that I've had in a very long time. The chips were surprisingly quite good crispy and chunky. We ordered cod, haddock and halibut in a bun. All fish were lightly battered and not at all oily. I ate half my chops before touching the fish and it was still piping hot! We enjoyed everything there. At $10 each (with chips and a pop) taxes in, it was a great deal. It has become my go to fish and chips place. Another plus the family run restaurant was very friendly and accommodating to our extra requests such as hot sauce and extra tartar sauce. We dined in and thoroughly enjoyed our meal.

This is a simple, no-frills spot for fish and chips. The food was served quickly, and the frying was done perfectly to a golden brown. I personally prefer my chips a bit crispier, but that's just my taste. They stay true to the classic dish. I ordered the daily special with cod and I'm excited to try more menu items in the future.

I had an excellent experience at Amy's Fish and Chips! The portion of fish was generous, and the quantity of fries left me utterly satisfied by the end of my meal. They had a special on cod, and I was delighted to swap my regular fries for sweet potato fries. We also ordered a side of onion rings. If you're in the area and in the mood for fish and chips, I highly recommend checking them out! My husband and I are definitely planning to return soon!

I checked out the Google reviews before visiting, and last week I brought my family here. We ordered the halibut platter for four, and it was more than enough food for us. The staff was helpful and friendly, providing great recommendations from the menu. My children loved it, and they usually don't even eat fish! I'm really pleased to see that the 4-star and 5-star reviews are spot on. I believe the 1-star reviewers are a bit off base; you get what you pay for, and fish is typically more expensive than meat! I also noticed that the recent negative reviews seem unreasonable, especially the guy who was upset there was no coffee. There’s a Starbucks just in the plaza! Plus, it’s not like you're at a fish and chips restaurant for coffee, right? Overall, it was definitely a 5-star experience. Thank you, Amy's Fish and Chips!

Delicious crispy batter and perfectly cooked fish! Great fries as well, nothing was unnecessary oily. Very charming and friendly service, definitely our new favourite fish n' chips spot!
