Mellow Mushroom - Richmond

Visit the city from brooklyn and had the thai pizza, soou soou good. many great vegan options and a very helpful and dedicated server that helped us find out our best vegan options.

The tofu and tempeh are pretty good. they use follow their hearts vegan cheese (not daiya gott thanks.) it is a good place for vegan pizza and I have heard the subs are delicious.

I was in several mellow mushrooms in virginia and other condition and the service is always top notch. the personal is friendly, competent and very knowledgeable about menu options. tons vegan options. I don't know any other place in town to get vegan calzone. highly recommended.

That is a really interesting restaurant with a full bar. we went to lunch and sat in the bar. They had a few vegan options, nothing super exciting, but our bartender was vegan and gave us the creatures on what was good. we ordered a pizza and made some substitution-typical no cheese and add some vegetables. he had no vegan cheese from what I remember. the pizza was a small part for the price, but it was really good! they also had a decent selection of beers. updated from previous review on 2018-12-13

Had the Holy Shiitake Pie with vegan cheese, no aioli or parmesan it was delicious! I wasn’t aware they had a separate vegan menu so it took awhile for my husband and I to find a menu item to “veganise” but we’re so glad we got what we did! It was very busy and very noisy while we were there but it seems like that’s their overall vibe seeing as they do have a sports bar. We didn’t mind but I know that can be overwhelming for some people. We will be back for another piece of that pie!
