Restaurant bewertenMy partner and I stayed at this lovely local pub in late January 2015. It is located in the heart of Richmond, with a beautiful view of the cobbled streets and the castle. The room was small but clean, with an en-suite shower. It was a bit noisy until around midnight, but that is to be expected when staying above a pub in the town center. The price of £59.00 for a double room included a full English breakfast the next morning, along with cereals and fruit juice, all served in front of an open log fire. I would highly recommend this place if you are visiting Richmond, the waterfalls, or the castle. It is very central and offers great value for money.
I just want to say that the beer was decent and the bartender was okay. However, I have had the unfortunate experience of visiting this pub twice, with the most recent visit being yesterday. Last September, I was looking forward to meeting up with two foreign friends for drinks and fun. The night was fine, but there was a strange and somewhat alarming individual at the bar who reminded me of the infected people from the movie 'I Am Legend'. Despite his odd behavior, he was thankfully ignored by my friends. Yesterday's encounter with a different individual was even worse - he was rude, racist, and aggressive. He seemed confused about where he was and appeared to enjoy confrontation. If you choose to visit this place, be prepared to interact with some unsavory characters.
Beautiful breakfast! now I also know your open Sunday, I can take my lunch x
