Restaurant bewertenIt was a lazy night for us so we drove out craving for fish and chips. We ended up at White Spot on No 3 road, the one located in the Price Smart strip mall. Normally the parking lot would be packed if you were coming on a weekend with people going to Price Smart and the BC Liquor store, but tonight it was quiet and peaceful with plenty of parking stalls available.
Two crisp tortillas were filled with mushrooms, fresh spinach, three cheeses, green onions, scrambled eggs, and chorizo sausage. The filling wasn’t uniformly hot, the cheese and spinach was warm but the eggs were colder. The cilantro in the sour cream was quite subtle so I enjoyed it.

It is my mom’s second Canadian Thanksgiving. Not wanting to cook tons of food for only 2 of us this year, we still want to have a classic thanksgiving dinner. Naturally I took her to White Spot. She was very curious since she’d never been to North American style diner. Besides picking the Roast Turkey Dinner for the occasion, we also notice the new 50/50 Burgers on their menu. Each Burger featured a 1/3 lb patty that is made with 50% premium Canadian beef and 50% double-smoked bacon, which sounds lethally delicious. I know mommy probably needs to eat a bit healthier, but I think for such a occasion, half of a much leaner Roast Turkey dinner kind of compensates half of the bacon-beef hybrid burger!
Just a comment about their hash browns, er 'SMASHBROWNS '. Delicious! Never cared much for breakfast until I discovered White Spot 's take on brekkie potatoes... now in addicted. ; Also, their fresh blueberry pie (comes in individual tart like servings , are truly refreshing with huge blueberries and easy on the sugar. Think it 's seasonal though. This Ackroyd location has exceptional service food is ordered fast and correctly.
