Restaurant bewertenGreat location with fresh fish and historic atmosphere. Went around 12pm on a weekday and there was no wait. The lobster soup was a bit salty for my mom but perfect for me. Absolutely delicious with the bread. Good portion of lobster inside. We had a wolfish skewer that was grilled to perfection! Meaty white fish that tasted great with the spicy mayo sauce. Overall would highly recommend and come back.
A great little place if you want an all seafood meal (minus the bread). The lobster soup was definitely tasty, but definitely was a little on the salty side. The bread served with it is nothing special to talk about, just something good to dip in your soup. For us, the two fish skewers were amazing. They had the right level of salt and had great on the grill taste. In addition, the moisture of the fish dishes were great cimonsidering the cooking method.
Amazing gem by the bay. Traditional Icelandic lobster soup is a must quiet big portions served with butter and baguette slices. I would recommend to share it, that's what we done. But definitely try it it's a must. Freshly grilled different type of white fish or salmonskewers, shrimp skewers, veggie or potato skewers can be found on the display inside to choose from. White wine was aromatic and delicious. Highly recommend to go there early if possible as it could be a queue (English)outside or line waiting as Americans say we loved it. Amazing history and pictures to look at, it makes the place very interesting and warm. Highly recommend to everyone. Enjoy if you are in Reykjavik.
Would come back time and time and time again to eat here. The food is absolutely just amazing. Lobster soup is very tasty! The skewers were all a hit and the beer options hit the spot. This cute diner has a lot of history on the walls so be sure to read it all while you wait on your food!
I have no idea that this restaurant is popular one…lobster soup was too salty I could not eat, even if it wasn’t salty, it should be normal standard seafood soup. Fishes were fresh, but after cooked on a skewer, fish meat was try as a wooden stick…eating places are small, feel and look alike boat cabin…no view at all, compared with all other seafood restaurants nearby, We will never near this restaurant again.
