Restaurant bewertenWe ordered garlic potstickers, bibimbap with bulgogi, and bulgogi with rice, along with two bottled drinks, and decided to eat in. I really enjoyed the bibimbap, but the rice was dry. The restaurant was clean, but it could benefit from more furniture and dinnerware to create a more inviting atmosphere and enhance customer comfort. Although we chose to dine in, it felt more like an expensive takeout spot, lacking proper arrangements for a dine-in experience. Eating from black containers with cheap plastic forks (and no spoons or chopsticks) made it hard to fully enjoy the meal. Overall, it wasn't worth the $45 we spent.
During my two visits to this restaurant, I found the staff at the front to be very welcoming and friendly. Unfortunately, the food left much to be desired. I couldn't comprehend why the plain chicken didn't have any seasoning. After a disappointing experience on my first visit, I decided to give it another shot. Sadly, my meals on both occasions tasted stale and unappetizing. The fries were hard and clumped together, as if they had been left out for too long. The chicken was both dry and flavorless. Given the price, I expected at least decent food; I could easily get better chicken from Popeyes for half the price. My second visit was actually worse, and I'm concerned about the quality. I strongly advise against spending your money here; I wish I could get a refund but that seems unlikely.
Very overpriced. Aside from the fried chicken, none of their food is good or flavorful. There was way too much rice for a $19 dish.
While they do have dine-in facilities, there is no actual dine-in service; all the food is served to-go, and you're given paper plates that seem like they came from a grocery store. It would be helpful to have a sign informing customers about this beforehand, as I expected a traditional dine-in experience and was left feeling misled. It’s clear that the owner is skimping in various areas. With 3-4 other Bonchon locations within five miles, there’s no reason to choose this one. I was very disappointed. Additionally, there was no spicy mayo provided with the fries, which is typically a highlight at Korean restaurants. It seems like an extra expense they aren’t willing to cover, but they did supply ketchup instead. Thanks, I guess.
Conveniently located in Reston at Plaza America, I arrived early in the evening and found a mid-sized restaurant with an open layout, featuring a few tables, fountains, and cold drinks. After browsing the menu, I placed my order, which was estimated to take about 20 minutes. For reference, I ordered 26 Korean Spicy chicken wings, 16 garlic-flavored wings, and an order of eight potstickers. That should be enough to satisfy us. I was pleased to find that the wait time was accurate, and the staff was friendly. My visit was short, but sometimes that’s just what you need when you're eager to get back to the game. When I returned, the food was still hot and ready to serve. The spicy wings were incredibly flavorful—seriously, WOW! The garlic wings provided a milder yet equally tasty option. To my surprise, we even had leftovers, but it was clear that everyone agreed choosing Bonchon was the right decision. Initially, I had pizza in mind, but Bonchon’s wings were just what we needed for our football snack party. I highly recommend checking out the Reston or Herndon locations for your next wing order. It's truly fantastic comfort food! **Parking:** There’s plenty of parking available.
