I just had to share my thoughts! I frequently visit the Glasgow area, and this pub is a fantastic spot to enjoy a few pints and their famous free pies before Saints football games. The staff is incredibly friendly, and the prices are quite reasonable, especially with the complimentary pies. The decor has a quirky faux Confederate style (it might even be one of the last places to display the Rebel flag), but overall, it’s a fun atmosphere. It’s not upscale, but the friendliness makes up for it. If you're in the area, make sure to check out The Alamo and Paisley; they’re worth a visit beyond the typical tourist spots!

The cozy bar is managed by a fun-loving cowboy with a dry sense of humor that might catch you off guard. He’s a one-of-a-kind character, and his female staff always bring the entertainment. It may take a little time for them to share a joke, but when they do, it's definitely worth the wait. A group of us always stops by before the St. Mirren home games nearby. They serve free pies at 2 PM, and if you’re lucky, you might even snag a second one! The bar's Wild West-themed decor is ideal for those intrigued by cowboys and Indians. They also occasionally host quiz nights and live music. Such bars are becoming increasingly rare in Scotland, so be sure to visit before it's too late. While it may have a masculine vibe, women are certainly welcome!

The owner, who goes by the name Chady, asked my partner and me to wait until the cowboy song he was listening to was over before he would serve us, even though he was the only one working. It was pretty amusing, but honestly, he might want to consider retiring because he clearly couldn't manage a simple task, let alone running a bar.

We are on a road trip in the UK and stopped in Paisley, Scotland. I looked on Tripadvisor for a good pub not too far from our hotel, and I found one called The Alamo, which has a Texas theme that we just had to check out. The locals were very friendly and we had a lot of fun. They mentioned they like to head to Bandera for Texas flair. We stayed for a couple of hours, and while they offered some sandwiches, it wasn’t much in terms of food. We enjoyed ourselves and even danced the two-step to show them a few moves. We will definitely visit again before we leave. It was so cozy and welcoming, but don't expect a full meal there.
