Restaurant bewertenVery good service. Girls are nice and friendly, received a warm welcome from door to table. the oysters are a little bit tiny and not juicy enough, but no matter. I love the salmon shoot egg. It's amazing! kabeljau is a bit too salty, but the garnel and marching potatoes are very nice to fit with him and at the end I love the view of the window!I will try the crab with French brioche. in any case comes back with friends!
Absolutely fantastic culinary experience in seaview. we waited for an hour to place (big communication from the host, so we were informed all the time) but it was good to wait! small but fabulous menu and reasonable price. visit them here again.
Just after the renovation, there is an extended outdoor terrace, with magnificent views over the beach and pier, the rest of the sitting area is now up, so the below will be given over a more extensive takeaway. it is very popular to wait so ready (booking only taken for evening.) eating is the first class, there is a traditional fish chip menu, but also a good choice of other seafood.
I visited seaview restaurant in februar 2022. I enjoyed eating the scallop risotto was very delicious. her caption crab meat brioche was also good, although I would prefer less mayonnaise in crab meat. the service was attentive. overall a pleasant experience.
I'm sure you've seen many fish and chip places with stickers proclaiming to be the best in town, region or country, only to be disappointed. Well... this place is hands down the best fish and chips I've tasted alongside another in Cornwall. I do try to look for good places to eat when travelling but it's pretty hard to find them when even Tesco or McD has a 4 star rating in this over-polite country. Anyway, we were a party of 4, had the cod, haddock and chips and crab brioche. I had the breaded monkfish as a starter. The in house mayo and tartare. Even the chips were tasty and not too oily. Interestingly, they served different chips to pair with the crab brioche which was of a finer cut, in between French fries and chunky chips, with a stronger char. I appreciate this rather than issuing the same sides for every main as it shows consideration of suitable pairings. Notably, only vege oil was used as well for the fries, which is another bonus point in my books... no need for unhealthy fat drippings if one knows how to cook well. There was also no over reliance on salt like most typical chippies and the dishes were tasty enough that none of our party members reached for the salt/pepper/vinegar. My only minor criticism is that, whilst the brioche served with the crab looks like it has been buttered and grilled a little for some nice crusting and char, when served, the brioche should have been reheated as the bread itself had become abit dry, losing softness, whilst the nice crust had lost some of its texture. Maybe a pair or trio of mini brioche buns with a cross slit to fill with that awesome crab topping would allow a more homogenous experience when eaten. Maybe a soft sourdough would be better as a brioche is already sweet but really nitpicking here. Decor is excellent and unique. Seatings are hip but also relaxed and formal. Location couldnt be better right next to the pier and parking (although parking tends to be full). Consistency is great as i have been here thrice now a few years apart and the standards only seem to improve.
