Moxie's Grill & Bar - Red Deer

I was there, and since it 's in Alberta I was figuring they could make a good steak. Hey, Alberta is the place where you can get a great fresh steak right? Wrong. It was absolutely terrible. TERRIBLE. I ordered a medium rare mushroom steak off the menu with the emphasis on RARE and (somehow) within minutes I got the mushroom steak which was essentially shoe leather. Only way, is this must have been on the grille for an hour+ instead of 3 minutes. Hey, I 'm a food guy, I cook a lot of steaks on my BBQ, and I can tell they cooked it a long long time ago and were looking for someone to unload it too. No way on earth you can pass a 'medium rare ' to a guy like me. It was a leftover from lunch. No other explanation on how you can botch a steak this bad. Amateur hour. Mashed potatoes tasted like an instant dehydrated box of potatoes that was boiled for 2 hours. The servers were really nice and trying, but they were clearly unloading lunch or yesterday 's leftovers. Don 't go here. Terrible.

Great place to meet friends for bevvies. Great staff that give great friendly service. Would highly recommend.

Food is always amazing! Chelsie is our go to server in the dining room, she makes our visits very enjoyable!

Decent food, but the place is super dirty. Chairs, walls and windows just nasty. They do make the best potstickers though!

The restaurant is beautiful, excellent comfortable atmosphere, excellent food and prices. Serving staff are very friendly!
