A couple outdoor tables on a patio facing the main walk at the River. Very attentive and kind staff. Sushi was solid; but a bit expensive for the amount of fish/sushi you get. Plenty of parking throughout the complex. Right next to ice cream (Ben and Jerry’s), and just a 2 min walk from the movie theatre. Pretty fun Gorilla figure on the KingKong speciality roll. The salmon nigiri was solid; but not special. The baked and then grilled chicken was the same, solid but not a stand out. We were satisfied overall. We mentioned our allergy, and there were no allergy ingredients included. We did ask for the sauces/dressing to be on the side, but they were not. Large unattractive space with tables dispersed far from each other. There is a horseshoe bar that, on Saturday night, was completely unoccupied. The table next to had hosted a party of 10: the dishes were never cleared while we were there.The waiters were weirdly dressed: I wasn’t sure if it was designed to communicate a certain vibe, or just weird.The meal started well with a complimentary salad but went rapidly downhill. The hamachi nigiri was excellent but the toro was chewy and obviously not top quality. The unagi which was served at the end of the meal was too sweet.We ordered the tempura: the shrimp were okay but the vegetables were uninteresting.The meal for 2 cost $130 and we were in and out in 40 minutes. I didn’t understand why they were rushing to serve the food like at a chain restaurant when the place was half empty.Basically, the owners need a course on What makes a successful restaurant; this one wasn’t.
