Golden Corral Buffet Grill - Raleigh

Omg omg this place is the best buffet in the city. the steak was great and don't let me start on the amazing pot roast and to pick up everything, they have the dessertable. I'll be back soon!

The experience was a 1 out of a 10The food was mediocre it was bland has no taste to it. The restrooms could have been a lot cleaner. The waitress I had did not keep the drinks refilled and she gave my child dirty looks. It was one Hispanic female employee that kept coughing everywhere she went including the drinks area, plates area, getting food from the buffet, picking up trays. I will not eat here again. ?

Pros:1)Great selection.2)Clean restaurant, though I did not check the bathroom on this trip.3)Affordable4)Most items I tried tasted fine but were nothing special5)Booths were comfortable and at a decent space between it and the table. I hate when you go to sit in a booth and it's either squeezing you or you have to sit on the edge of it to reach the table lol.Cons:1)Things just tasted ok, a lot of them tasted like you just heated contents from a can, other things had to much added salt or fats like butter2) personally I think the drinks are over priced for a buffet3) you may or may not get decent service. I've had good but then I've had really bad where I sat waiting for someone to come by so I could ask for a refill.4) Not enough healthy items other than the salad bar. I'm not vegan, but i know that Vegans can't have butter or lard so they might have a hard time finding any variety of something hot to eat here.Overall it was a good experience and I will eat here again. ?

I am sitting in the restaurant, writing this review. That’s how much this experience has motivated me. I have been looking forward to coming here for a year. I haven’t been here in years. How the mighty have fallen. This is not the Golden Corral I remember. Let’s start with the yeast rolls, disgusting ? I could taste raw yeast. My 3 kids left them on their plate. I took one bite and also set it aside. My chicken was hot and overcooked, I wasn’t sure that the chicken was bland or that it was cooked to the point that the seasoning was just gone. While the shrimp had a nice texture, it was also bland. The baked fish is nothing to write home about. My husband‘s sausage dog was also a disappointment. My husband’s Spanish rice was also bland. My daughter did enjoy the spaghetti. My kids did enjoy the ice cream, which was the only saving grace. We came to be seated and the tables next to our table was stacked with dirty plates from several other guests and trash on the floor. A young man came to our table with our drinks. I spoke to him and he ignored me the first 2 times. I had to raise my voice the 3rd time to get him to respond about giving us straws. However the staff member Liz was very friendly and sweet. Normally I take a lot more pictures, but it wasn’t worth my time. Everyone has a off day, but the behavior of the majority of the staff gives off the “I wish I had a different job” vibe. ???I’m so disappointed ?

I love the change they made when you first enter. You do not get your drink, only silverware when you pay. The server gets your drinks, coffee, etc. I love breakfast at GC! I love having the usual eggs, sausage, pancakes, French toast, omelet, etc., but also fried chicken, meatloaf, ham, hot veggies. They use to have chicken tenders for breakfast as well and on rare occasion fish! Love the sweets, especially bread pudding and chess pie! I have never had a bad server! Always polite and helpful as well as those serving us the food behind the buffet. One helpful hint, on more than one occasion, the women’s restroom smelled awful and no toilet paper and please put a slide lock on the handicap door as anyone can pop in on you! Thanks!
