Restaurant bewertenWhen I discuss excellent restaurants in north carolina, I often think of myself “This is really amazing. for north Carolina.” that “for north Carolina” always appears, and I will confidently say that this is the first time in my four years in this state that I can say “This is really amazing” and the set there end. crawford and son is a farm to really be the best of gemstone. the criminal and Manchego biscuits were tasty: crispy and flaky on the outside, while their butter- and mouth-melting texture remains on the inside. the cauliflower shell was also a speckle in textures. the rusty, capern and cauliflower cabbage held all sorts of different flats of softness, while the tahini covers the entire dish in a layer of earthness from sesame. I would say that the dish was too anointed by the capern and tahini both salinity, but the dish has perfectly paired with the relatiw unsalted cookies. the butternut quash court was complete perfection: it competes and performs many michelin star dishes. the brown butter and pistachios offer a feeling of nuts that perfectly contrasts with the creamy beluga lenses and squash purée at the edge of the plate and so I don't forget the beautiful caramelized squash in the middle. a bite of the basilikum with the squash, lenses and pistachios was, without a better understanding, a food gasmus. the chocolate cake was also excellent, not until par in comparison to the rest of the courses, but a beautiful sweet and salty dessert. the michelin guide could not evaluate in north carolina, but if it was, I am pretty sure that this would make a star. I am doubtful if you can find a better meal in this condition.
Stopped in for dinner mid week. Had a great solo experience sitting at the bar. The hanger steak was absolutely delicious along with the biscuits. One of the best dinner I’ve had in a long time. Can’t wait to go back again
My wife and I decided to share a romantic evening out and what a fabulous place to dine. The atmosphere is cozy while the decor is simple and modern. We started by sharing the Local Lettuce starter. The herbs were freshly grown (by them) and delicious. Our entrees included the Curry Roasted Carrots and Monk Fish. Both were fabulous while the presentations were expertly done (see photos). We also tried the charred broccolini and herb biscuits which melted in your mouth. We were so full we had to skip dessert but plan another trip back soon with friends. I highly recommend this restaurant for a romantic night out, with friends and family or even for business purposes. You won't be disappointed!
Crawford and Son was in all means one of the best dining experiences I have had in all North Carolina. Specializing in a rotating classical-modern menu in the historic Oakwood neighborhood. Everything that comes out Crawford and Sons is a gastro chemical reaction of amazing. From the service, to the meal. Everything was beyond exceptional. We started with the Spicy Korhlrabi which is one of the namesakes of C&S, the Yuzu paired seamlessly with the ginger-esk taste of the Korhlrabi. The basil peanut combo highlighted it to become its own unique experience that I recommend everyone try. I decided on the Glazed Porkchop and collard greens. Never have I had a better tasting and tender chop in my life. For drink, I went with the BB king. It was an excellent bourbon old fashion elevated by hazelnut and Sherry. In short, as one of my newest favorite places for high-causal dinning. I simply cannot recommend Crawford and Son more.
Food was INCREDIBLE! Great quality, from the appetizer to the dessert. I was referred here by a friend and will definitely refer others here.
