Restaurant bewertenI can’t remember how many times we’ve eaten here but i keep forgetting to write a review and take pictures... so today i’ve finally took pictures... of the crispiest chicharon bulaklak... tastiest seafood kare kare (solo which came with binagoongan rice)... and crunchy bagnet tofu stack o... we always come here hungry that’s why...
Their kare-kareng bagnet is a must try! Every time I come back to this place (been here 5 times already), this is always the first order.. I wish they add more of the peanut sauce though.. Aside from the bagnet, the calamares negra is also a hit.. The place is nice although, there's just a few seats available.. I hope they expand and get a bigger place so more people can experience the awesomeness of this resto.. Thumbs up!
Looking for a place to eat dinner we headed to pino. The facade seems inviting with friends and family are sharing food and laughs. We were seated at the back portion which is perfect in during daytime meals. It's a plus to know that they let customers with dogs to that part of the restaurant . The server handed two menus. Other than the regular pino menu there's Pipino, a version that features the vegetarian items. We chose the chicken breast with bacon and cheese stuffing. For starters, we picked the wasabi onion rings. We did not get a chance to take a picture of the appetizer since we were starving. The onion rings is a large portion and can serve 2-3 persons. The wasabi taste was not evident enough so i suggest readers to specify how much you want to feel that wasabi kick. Though this was a welcome change of pace to usual appetizers. The chicken breast might appear underwhelming at first. I said that because I had imagined a different presentation. What came to the table is a rendition of chicken cordon bleau. I think this differs sinceit has actual bacon. What made it delectable is the mixture of the sauce that looks like gravy and mango. For dessert we had leche flan infused with pandan. Looking at it, it seems so plain with whip cream on top but do not let the appearance fool you. It's by far the yummiest flan i've tasted in a while. It does not taste too sweet nor bland, plus it has a trick to taste like flan but the infused pandan changes the impression on your palate. Definitely recommend this for a different style of flan. If you are planning to spend your dinner in teachers village, you can visit Pino for their different take on familiar dishes.
One of the best restaurants in this area. We dined in last night and I fell in love with their Pork binagoongan and Sea Food kare-kare! Customer service is great too. Parking is okay with a little improvement needed on their washrooms.
Easily one of my favorite restos in Maginhawa, Pino offers Filipino food which is ironically (or not) the cuisine I hardly get outside the house, and takes it to a whole other level. I 'm a huge fan of their Crispy Bagnet Kare-Kare and it says something when I tell you, this is a competitor of my mom 's kare-kare . It 's really not much of a kare-kare dish but the goodness of this one is too sinfully addicting--it 's an indulgence! For the price, you get three succulently crunchy, crispy and tender slabs of bagnet. The kind you 'd want to eat forever and ever. Dip it to that peanut based sauce and I swear you 'll be in heaven. We 've also tried their stuffed squid with mango tomato salsa and though the squid was a bit tough to eat (but not the rubbery kind), flavors blended well. Only dish we 've tried that we weren 't a fan of was the oysters that didn 't taste the freshest. Add on the service of the staff could be improved as well. People had to be on the wait list and they weren 't that attentive. Had to call them twice for their menu.
