Restaurant bewertenTheir Macadamia Nut Pie topped with pistachio ice cream is a classic. Fleur de Lys doesn’t skimp on the macadamia nuts, and the pistachios in the ice cream are evident based on the texture; revealing actual ground bits of pistachio blended in. I tried the chocolate lava cake for the first time, and was not disappointed. The light, yet dense, chiffon cake is centered with rich, warm chocolate, which contrasts pleasantly with the vanilla ice cream. The waiters are pleasant, although the ambience does not align with the prices of their food and drinks. Their offerings are on the pricier side, and the serving size is quite small.
My sister got me their hokkaido cheesecake which she thought was cute with the pink toppers. The cake has three layers, the middle one was my favorite. Unfortunately, the toppers doesn't taste as good as it looks.
Fleur de Lys is my go-to place for late night desserts, because it has the most comprehensive cakes selection out of all the places in QC. While I don't think any of their cakes are award winning per se, they're still all really good so it's difficult to go wrong here. For tonight, we ordered: Pillow soft cheesecake (my personal fave! , Best Kept C-cret (which they're super famous for but I'm ambivalent , An Apple a Day (love the thin apple slices and the soft crust
I didn't know that Fleur de Lys was serving meals, my awareness was just limited to their cakes since I have been buying cakes from them since 2007, so one day I tried dining. Their dining is located on the second floor, despite that, their waiters frequently checked if there still anything that we need. I ordered one of their best-sellers, the 8 Hour Slow Roasted US Beef in Demi Glace and Goldi his usual All-Day Breakfast of his choice for that day- Classic bacon and egg . I also ordered a slice of cake, the Best Kept C-cret and coffee. I copuld not recall if it was brewed coffee or Cafe Americano, but it was too strong, that I didn't have the guts to finish... If the parking permits, I will try their Baked Chicken with 40 Cloves of Garlic.
First timer! Wanna try somethin’ new... Bought Best Kept Secret (whole) for my mom’s bday... Now I understand why “Best Kept Secret” is their best seller...
