Restaurant bewertenGot a very nice Surf Turf was $48 so a bit on the steep side but I did enjoy it. Was a takeaway meal. The young one at the bar is some what rude.
I had been staying in Queenstown quite often and wanted a change from the typical pub meal, so I decided to try out Smelters. It was one of the only options open for a meal earlier in the week, but I was happy I chose to dine there. They were able to accommodate us without a reservation and the dining room had a nice, laid-back vibe. The food was just as good as any pub meal and I had no complaints about the price or service. I will definitely be recommending this place to others.
We waited 40 minutes for our food to arrive, but it tasted great and they had takeaway containers available. The second set of drinks, particularly the lemon lime and bitters, were watered down. The restaurant seems to be popular among locals and guests staying at nearby motels, but there were quite a few families with noisy kids or adults playing loud videos during their meals. If you're looking to have a drink like whisky, be prepared to pay the price of a bottle for just a shot glass amount.
It didn't expect you to get such nice food in a small town, especially the pork ribs. Yummy Yummy.
The food was amazing! I had two entrees instead of one main and both were delicious
