Restaurant bewertenI'm pretty confused how everyone can post a glowing assessment about this place. Maybe if they were the smell of a bric-a-brac shop, the device of an octogenarians deceased and an early piece that corresponds to the middle of the war, then this place is for them. we were in the 'bigger' rose room and experienced an exceptionally hard and unpleasant queen and single-bed room, with equally uncomfortable kissing. I have a thought that it can be the original matrate from which the guest house was built 130 years ago. there was no place to ask them pockets, no wifi, no refrigerator in the room (but they could ask for a thermos flask milk), a pokey ensuite with nowhere toilet items, and the old scratchy woollen blankets look like they were bought from the occasual shop. in her room there is nowhere else to sit than the bed. but there was a community lounge that they could use if they wanted to revise tortured childhood memories to visit their great tante betty. I'd never mind when it comes to breakfast. the chalk was smaller than the one I give my 3 year old. the egg had been boiled in a microwave dish, the mushrooms were raw and the toast was an unbutterte sandwich disc made of black and gold. For another note of nostalgie the orange juice (which tastes like juice mixed with tee tree oil) was served in an old vegemite glass. to the luck, the volume was just a little more than a shot glass, as I kept my nose to drink it. another hauch of gastfreundschaft was the information book in the room. full of suggestions and passive aggressive accusations of do 's and not 's. for example, the use of public roads bins to discard their müll when a head up, that because there are no parking available, they can park on the road. move their car only by 3 o'clock when the inspector comes, otherwise it will be safe to park their car there for the majority of the day, in a 2 hour parking zone. we were robbed $300 per night to stay here! $70 per night would have been a fairer price. the positive reviews must be written by the owners friends or people who have not been out of their homes for 60 years. but I guess not everything was bad, I didn't see a bed.
We spent a nice long weekend at Benambra BnB a very old cottage refurbished with modern comforts. The location is excellent close to beach, as well as town centre. The rooms are clean with comfortable bed. Anne provided us valuable guidance to explore queens cliff. The food was reasonably good. I would end with 3 words simple, charming and exceeded expectation. highly recommended.
