Águas Manuel José V - Quarteira

Very friendly service, especially from the lady that greeted us and got us a table outside (rear of building). The food was good but not worth the 75 minutes we waited for it to arrive. Kids were hungry so we’d asked for the food to arrive as it individually became ready but arrive in one go after that long wait. Be aware that the olives, breads, pate, butter etc, that’s put on your table as you arrive, is charged for so if don’t want it ask them to take it away (might be needed to keep you going while you have to wait for the ordered food to arrive)

We visited twice. The first time the service was slow and the staff were not friendly apart from the owner. Second time the chicken peri peri was dry the rest of the meal was average. One of the waiters had an awful attitude and was very abrupt with my hubby. He has zero concept of customer satisfaction. We certainly cannot recommend and we will never come here again!

Encontrei este restaurante por acaso ,em virtude de estar numa das ruas principais . Em relação à imagem , devia actualizar-se , muito antiga e com a TV principal com uma imagem péssima ( não se entende uma coisa destas num restaurante em pleno mês de Agosto). O atendimento ,relativamente rápido e o mais importante , a comida . Pedimos sardinhas , que incluía batatas cozidas mas a salada era à parte ?? Estranho , mas sem duvida uma forma "esperta" de aumentar o valor médio do pedido . Estava razoável , embora a quantidade / qualidade seja insuficiente. Em suma , numa próxima visita à Quarteira, vou de certeza experimentar outro restaurante . Por último , o preço , com azeitonas(entradas) , bebida , prato e sobremesa , paguei certa de 15,5€ por pessoa .

We went there yesterday evening, it was a great experience listening to Fados while eating our tasty dishes and having good time with our friends. A lot of choices of different seafood, reasonably priced. For us, it is worth coming back to try another dish for sure.

The restaurant is quite small however a good selection of food and drink, service was good and there was live traditional music
