Restaurant bewertenOn Saturday, October 7, 2023, we wanted to revisit the restaurant, so we made reservations. However, due to a heavy downpour and the fact that my 90-year-old father-in-law wasn't feeling well enough to make the 30-minute trip down the mountain, we decided to cancel our reservation. I called to inform them and rescheduled for Sunday instead. When I called on Sunday to confirm our reservation despite the rainy weather, the man on the phone responded rather bluntly, acknowledging our previous cancellation and reminding us not to be late. I was taken aback by his rudeness, which I attributed to a lack of professionalism or experience in the hospitality industry. We arrived ten minutes early, and I parked in front to help my father-in-law and wife enter the restaurant, as he had recently been released from the hospital after suffering from pneumonia and had some difficulty walking. Once inside, a white, bald man (later identified as Torey) asked if they had a reservation. The dining room was nearly empty, save for a party of three by the window. My wife explained that we had a reservation for three under the name Dennis. He rudely responded, “I know who you are. You canceled yesterday. Well, you’re here now anyway,” before leading them to their table. After parking the car, I joined them and heard about Torey’s unkind remark. I wanted to address it, but my wife advised against creating a scene. Our server, Cheryl, was truly wonderful—friendly and attentive. She took our order and handled the entire dining room on her own, which became busier with parties of various sizes, totaling 21 guests, while also serving the bar area. Unfortunately, our appetizers never arrived. When our entrees were finally served, we realized they were not Jägerschnitzels but rather Wiener Schnitzels, served with lemon wedges instead of the traditional mushroom gravy. When the dishes were corrected, they came with gravy but were overcooked. My father-in-law could only manage a few bites, and my wife’s pork tenderloin was fatty and also overcooked, which she chose not to eat. We decided against ordering dessert. Cheryl apologized sincerely for Torey’s behavior and the issues with our meals. After 40 years of frequenting the Bavarian Manor, often in large groups, I regret to say we will not be returning. This establishment is not what it once was. Save your time and money; what you'll encounter now is rudeness, unpleasant attitudes, and poor food quality. I sent an email to the management detailing our disappointing experience, but we have yet to receive a response from the owners.
I noticed cameras are installed throughout the main areas. Unfortunately, our experience at the restaurant was the worst I’ve ever encountered. While it was crowded, my friend and I (two women) were seated after just a short wait and greeted by a male waiter who provided us with menus and two bottles of water. Oddly, several groups, both large and small, arrived after us and were seated promptly. After being seated, we waited over an hour without anyone taking our order. I ultimately had to approach a female waitress to request service after observing the male waiter taking orders from tables that were seated after us. There were only two servers, and both seemed overwhelmed; however, it appeared that the male waiter was selectively attending to certain tables, while those who didn’t catch his eye faced significant delays. The new female waitress mentioned that she put in our orders for both drinks and food, but it seemed that both the bar and kitchen were prioritizing the male waiter’s tables instead. Several tables waited between an hour and a half to two hours for their food. When our orders finally arrived, the food was quite good, and the female waitress apologized multiple times for the service issues. While I did hear the male waiter offer apologies to some other tables, he did not extend the same courtesy to us. At least one group of four left after waiting over an hour for their food without receiving it, and they refused to pay for their drinks. There seems to be a serious dysfunction in that dining room. Overall, this was the worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had. For more details, please refer to the main review.
I recently visited the Bavarian Manor Restaurant for the first time, and it was a delightful experience! This charming place has a vintage vibe with a cozy atmosphere, featuring fireplaces on either side and various decorations hanging from the ceiling, including displayed beer steins. One unexpected but pleasant touch was the smooth jazz playing through the speakers—it really set the mood. We made reservations, which I would recommend, as it seems like a good idea. The menu primarily focuses on German cuisine, and the food was excellent. I especially enjoyed the cheesecake, which was wonderfully creamy! Also, in October 2023, Larry Sharpe made a campaign stop at this location.
This was the worst place I have ever stayed. I can’t say that the service was bad, there literally was no service. After a very dry dinner we went to our room. The fireplace wasn’t working, it was about 7pm so I went down to see if we could get some help. The bartender said there was no one there to help. There was no one running the hotel at all. We went back to our room, around 10pm a large party arrived, they were loud and drunk. They ran up and down the stairs yelling and drinking all night. There was no support at all. When we got up in the morning I asked the house keeper to talk to someone, she again said no one was there. She asked me if she could help and I told her about the issue. She said she would have someone reach out ti me. I have heard nothing. There was no live music offered as stated on the website, the water smelled so bad we couldn’t shower.
The food was fine, but we waited more than two hours to get our dinner. Service: 1
