Rios Vegan Food

We visited their stand at the Saturday market and I’m so glad we did! It was delicious and the owners are so friendly. They offer many things and it sells out quickly, so make sure to go early!

If you don’t feel like cooking you can pick up their empeñadas and pizzas at both súper negros. You can live off of their food for two weeks... I’ve don’t it. No regrets.

You MUST try their jackfruit salad (it’s served as a burger). Their empanadas are delicious and also available in a few shops near Cahuita and Puerto Veijo (example: Super Negro). We really liked their focaccia, the cheese was not made from cashews but from coconut. We were just not a big fan of the nuggets, they were a bit dry, but their mayo made up for that! In short, go find them on the Saturday market in Puerto Viejo!

A nice little vegan option located at the Saturday market! I’ve eaten her pizza, burger and empanadas. All 3 are good. Certainly different/unique. Worth a try for sure.

The most famous of the old port, if not the purchases on the market you can purchase them at several points of sale of the area. only empanadillas/bananabread or order by wsapp. on the market wide variety lasagna, burgers, focha, salad, nuggets.
