Restaurant bewertenExcellent service, great atmosphere, delicious food! Friendly staff! We were here a few times and are always happy with the service food! Great view over the sea. In the middle of the city, walk to a ton of shops.
We’ve lived on the Cape for almost a decade, always assuming the Lobster Pot was a bit of an overhyped tourist trap serving standard Cape Cod fare that you could find anywhere. Today, we decided to try it for an early dinner, and the experience from start to finish was amazing. The staff was super friendly and welcoming. The drinks were fresh and creative, and the food was way better than we could have ever expected tons of fresh veggies, huge servings of lobster seafood, and very tasty, homemade sauces. I’m not sure I have experienced such attentive wait and support staff in a long time. They were experts and truly first class in a casual, fun atmosphere. And then there are the views. I love when my assumptions are proven wrong. The hype is more than well deserved.
My wife and I were visiting Provincetown last week and upon a recommendation, we had dinner at the Lobster Pot on Wednesday. We were warmly greeted by Shawn who provided his recommendations for dinner. Going with his suggestions, I had the blackened halibut with mango butter and garlic mash potatoes. Kathy had the pan seared scallops with rice. The meals were great and the service from Ronnie was terrific. On Saturday we were celebrating our anniversary and wanted to go someplace special. We chose to go back to the Lobster Pot because of the Service and Food. We had a great table on the second floor and were again warmly welcomed by Shawn and our server Floyd. We decided to stick with the same meals that we enjoyed so much, and we were pleased we did. The two experiences were great and we will be back. Thank you, Shawn, Ronnie and Floyd, for your hospitality!
First of all, let me tell you how most companies in Provincetown, this restaurant looks super small from outside, but is massive on the inside. The views from our table were beautiful. The staff was friendly, but not in our faces, as well as fast and knowledgeable. Food: Oh, my God. That was an incredible farewell. We started with Tuna Poke and Portuguese Baked Clams. The tuna was fresh, the seaweed salad was the perfect addition. Do not make the same mistake I made and think about the avocado, it was a roasted pepper! The shells had to die. What I noticed about this and about my main attraction, the baked scallops was that the first thing that had felt my tongue was a sweet. In the time when the bite was finished, the sweetness was completely gone, what a cleaner feeling palate, and confusion about whether it existed at all. The flavors were a dance, the scallops the tenderest I had ever eaten. My friend had the lobster ravioli who was positively sinful. Each bite was rich in smooth creamy cheese and delicate lobster. I can't recommend this restaurant enough. Go, go!
That's a good place. Waiting you can be a little crazy, but you're in town so going around the street and coming back. Lobsters and seafood are just too good. One has to stop, but it's worth it. Try to get a table up. Be ready to pay the market price, but go back here for the lobster and experience.
