China Restaurant - Prospect

The food at this restaurant was delightful, the staff were very attentive, prices were reasonable, and it was suitable for any occasion and a diverse group of people.

The service was outstanding and the attention to detail was top-notch. We had a fantastic evening, even though the restaurant was quite busy, we still felt like we had a private dining experience.

China lane delivers modern Asian flavors with impeccable service. It can be noisy and is a tad pricey but makes up for this on quality. Go to dishes are the duck pancakes and John Dory in coconut sambal. The menu changes reasonably regularly though classics are an ever present. Other noteworthy dishes are the pork on bao, saikou salmon and for lovers of crustaceans the balmain bugs (served in the shell). Cocktails are also good with a variety of house concoctions and staples such as a very good negroni.

This is an excellent restaurant. Each dish is carefully crafted with a combination of contrasting flavors that somehow come together to create a delicious meal. The service is friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and wine selection. We will definitely return in the future.
