Dendeke Japanese Dining - Preston

Had the best time at Dendeke! The food was so good and the place was a vibe even on a Tuesday night. Sheela was our waitress for the night and she was so sweet and lovely!

I'm pleased to have discovered another excellent Japanese restaurant. The food was delicious, although it did take a little while to arrive. The portions and prices are on the higher side, but I believe the quality of the ingredients justifies it. The Wagyu skewers were incredibly tender, and the sushi was very good. The slow-cooked pork belly was delightful and practically melted in my mouth. The soft shell crab tempura was also enjoyable. As for the pork gyoza, they were flavorful and definitely had a homemade touch. The service was a bit slow, likely because we visited on a weekend, and there was a 1 hour 30 minute time limit along with a 10% weekend surcharge. Unfortunately, this meant we didn’t have enough time to try dessert. Would we come back? Absolutely, thank you!

This restaurant is exceptional, with incredibly friendly staff! The food quality matched the prices, and the drinks were delightful. My partner and I tried the “Help Me, Obi Wan Kenobi” dish from the menu, which offered a wonderful variety of items for sharing. Everything was beautifully cooked, and the flavors were outstanding. I highly recommend visiting and suggest making a reservation in advance.

The standout dishes for us included the deep-fried battered prawns served with Miso mayo, the incredibly fresh sashimi, and the rich slow-cooked pork belly accompanied by ginger and yuzu kosho sauce. To cap off the meal, we enjoyed a refreshing Blancmange agar dessert infused with sakura syrup, which was just the right finish. The warm color scheme, cozy lighting, and retro photographs contributed to a wonderful ambiance. The staff were friendly and attentive throughout our visit, demonstrating great care in their service. This was an outstanding experience that we would definitely love to repeat and recommend to our friends.

I and my friends enjoyed our dinner at Demdeke last night. The ambience was great and the interior decor unique. The foods came out fast and were fresh, well cooked and tasted amazing. My favourite was Kani tempura. The Japanese lady who served us was friendly and polite at the same time. We had a nice chat too. I will revisit Dendeke in the future.
