Sand Bay Trading Co. And Woody’s Grand Lake

Fantastic service. Good food at reasonable pricing. Pretty view of Grand Lake, however this place is noisy as it gets when full of people. Also need to consider alternatives to the brioche buns for us folks that don’t like burgers on a sweet roll.

Vegetarian? Vegan? Not much here, which is sad because this is a beautiful place with modern decor and a great view of Grand Lake. Woody's is a bit of a drive from Alpena, but I enjoyed the Shredded Brussels Sprout Salad. It was hearty, something that you want when a salad is your meal. I asked for no Parmesan cheese to make it dairy free, and with a side of sweet potato fries it was a good meal. Service was excellent; it was friendly but professional. The waitress spoke to many customers by name, so clearly the place has a strong local following. It should be five stars, but except for a few sides there is nothing on the menu that's not dependent upon meat and/or dairy. The food is great quality (my fellow diner had a lovely piece of salmon), so there's obviously talent in the kitchen. A couple of vegan options would earn another star from me, although I think I might be making the drive out there for that salad again soon.

Bbq chicken pizza! 100% a must eat!! Tried cheese pizza as well, great! The woodys menu looks delicious and will try and next opportunity.

The service is top notch! Gary and the rest of the crew at Woody 's are real people who know how to care for their customers. They went above and beyond to feed my family. The pizza was amazing and the surprise pie , well done! ? Thanks everyone, we will be back!

The staff here is friendly and attentive. They offer a diverse selection of menu items. I tried the roasted chicken, while other guests enjoyed the mac and cheese and flatbread pizza. Everyone loved their meals!
