Pine State Biscuits - Portland

The food was delicious, the atmosphere was lively but noisy, and the service was lacking.

They make a really good biscuit! I’ve had the biscuits and gravy with eggs twice. This time I added a small order of hashbrowns and they were really good. There is so much more on this menu I want to try. Their coffee is really good and their **** Mary was spicy and really hit the spot. Everyone in here is very nice and they keep the place very clean.

The biscuit sandwich I had was tasty. The chicken was well seasoned and juicy. I had to take a star off because the dining area wasn’t clean. There were a lot of old cups around and the tables weren’t wiped down. Maybe I came after the rush but it wasn’t clean the entire time I was there. I would still visit again cause the food is good.

The meal was delicious. I ordered the chicken fried steak with eggs, which was served promptly. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

A rough dine in experience from a confluence of a microscopic seating area and unorganized free for all to claim what little there is. I’d get it to go in the future. Food is standard fare for Pine State.
