Restaurant bewertenI refuse to eat here after checking their health inspection reports. The reports list the same violations over and over. These include, but are not limited to: *Improperly repaired broken pipe leaking significant amount of sewage in crawlspace under building (OMG! . *rat infestations (almost every year . *cockroach infestation. *gnats in sweet sour sauce, *Raw duck hanging over ready serve dougnuts. *food thermometers non-functioning. *fridge temperature too warm. *shelves in fridge covered with mold. *employee not washing hands. *meat defrosting in mop sink *no soap or paper towels at hand wash sink. *date tags missing from shellfish containers. *chlorine dispenser on dishwasher empty. *cooked food not refrigerated. *unwashed knife with raw chicken on it. *encrusted grease on food-contact surfaces. These are the highlights from the last four years of inspection reports. They are temporarily closed. Let 's hope they can get their act together when they reopen!
Not my cup of tea. Language was a barrier. Flavors, textures and vegetables are different than I'm used to. Beef and broccoli ? was Chinese broccoli so no heads, more of stalks with spinach. Walnut shrimp. Walnuts were excellent but shrimp was not deep fried. Coconut sauce was good. Cheese wontons tasted different. Didn't get egg rolls we ordered just the spring rolls. Spring roll filling was mushy. They didn't know what to say when I asked if they had any gluten free dishes. Spent $50
It's a great place to have Dim Sum dishes in Portland. It offers a large selection of small plates that meet almost every kind of dining preference. It can get pretty crowded during the lunch time on weekends. So, either avoid the peak hours or expect some waiting. There are app(s) for signing up on the wait list before arriving the restaurant, which should make it easier.
Hmmm... I could have sworn I 'd written a review of Ocean City long ago. Despite continuous change on 82nd and on Division, this remains my favorite for reliable Dim Sum. The carts are well stocked and make the rounds very quickly. We never have a problem finding old favorites as well as newer, that looks interesting selections. Like pretty much all Dim Sum places I 've visited, I never have any kind of idea how much the total bill will be, but it 's always a reasonable amount when I take the check up to the counter by the entrance. I 've never had a problem getting a table right away, but most of the tables seem to be occupied when I visit, so clearly I 'm not the only fan of this place.
Food was wonderful and staff attentive.. highly recommend the scallops and calamari !!
