The BEST coffee cake ,buns and toasted sandwiches in Alvor!! A beautiful hidden gem. Every visit to Alvor I always make sure to get her for a coffee and treats each day. My favourite Coffee is served here. Very friendly Great Service and extremely well priced! Can't wait to go back! Beautiful sitting here watching the world go back Old Charm interior is perfect! A must stop for every one!

Great place for delicious pastries and good coffee . Very reasonable prices and lovely service.

Very fresh coconut used in the tart but the almond wasn’t as fresh. Coffee was good. Advice to have a wander in the cafe as there was interesting info about the owner and pastry chef. In fact we saw the man himself and he was most friendly.

We have been in Alvor on holiday on many occasions over the last 25 years. One restaurant we always go to on most days is Pastelaria Perini. The restaurant is frequented by many locals and I can see why. The coffee (Chave d'Oro) is excellent and reasonably priced. The pastries are freshly made and very tasty and also very reasonable priced. The local brandy, Macieira, is reasonably priced with good measures and goes down a treat. We also had breakfast on a couple of occasions and it was very good value at 6 Euro. The owner, I think his name is Marcelina, always had a warm greeting for us and even though his English wasn't great (it was much better than my Portuguese) he always made an effort to talk with us. He previously worked on cruise ships before opening Pastelaria Perini. He and his waitress Ana work very hard and very long hours and are to be admired. In the mornings there was a young waiter Ammal who was always very cheerful and pleasant. He certainly makes the effort to make your visit an enjoyable experience. He even took time to try and teach me some Portuguese. I would highly recommend this restaurant for anybody who is looking for a genuine value for money local Portuguese cafe.
