Restaurant bewertenIt can be difficult to find a vegan breakfast in Port Campbell, but we took a chance on Grassroots Deli Cafe. Despite only seeing granola listed on the menu as a vegan option, we asked the staff about alternatives and they kindly prepared a vegan version of their bean burrito specials. It turned out to be a delicious vegan breakfast! The staff was friendly and accommodating, and I would recommend talking to them to see if they can whip up something vegan for you. With the demand for vegan options, they may even consider adding more options to the menu in the future.
This was my third visit in just two days to this restaurant. The atmosphere was great, the food was delicious, the coffee was excellent, and the service was very friendly. I will definitely be coming back again.
This charming café in Port Campbell offers fresh café food and drinks. It's the perfect spot to recharge while exploring the Great Ocean Road.
The food and coffee at this restaurant are excellent! It's a perfect choice for a lunch break or snack while exploring the Great Ocean Road. We really enjoyed our bacon and egg burger and toasted...
I ordered a halloumi salad and noticed that there were signs saying "vegan option available", but it turned out that the only difference was that the halloumi and yogurt-based sauce were omitted. This felt like a scam as I paid the same price for essentially nothing extra, which does not truly qualify as a vegan option. I requested for more chickpeas to compensate for the missing cheese, but even then, my friends who ordered the vegetarian option had the same amount of chickpeas as me, despite my expectation of receiving extra. The waitress claimed to have added more chickpeas, but it was not evident. The misleading nature of the restaurant's claim of having vegan options was frustrating, as was the subpar service. It is important for restaurants to accurately represent their vegan offerings and be understanding when customers inquire about modifications. Another potential vegan option on the menu, bean tacos, was not available, which further limited choices. Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant for vegans.
