La Marina - PONZA

I was a beach near by and I took a little row boat ride up to the front of the restaurant. It’s beautiful and the food is delicious!

Sincerely talking I do not remember the first time I came here. Probably I was 3 months old. I was born in March and it was June 1976. La Marina di Cala Feola was the restaurant, place, group of people that my family loved and still love. My grandma lived here. She was forced to stay on the island because she didn’t agree with Mussolini during the Fascism. Vittoria, my grandma, (also my doughter name is Vittoria) spent here a forced vacation together with some other people. Some of them in the future, after the facsism, leaded my country, Italy, as president. His name was Sandro Pertini and he was forced to stay on the magic island too. They were Partisans or, as we say today: Confinati a Ponza. Said that, since I was 3 months old I’ve spent here the best time of my years. I’m allergic to many things (milk, flour, tomatoes) but here my allerigies go away. Far away. Because at La Marina the food came only from the Cala Feola Bay. They don’t cook. They respect the food as they respect people, vegetables, fish and birds. And if the time arrive these food is served to clients. The only problem is that, in the last 15 years too many people discovered this magical place. Probably because to many celebrities arrived in the Hidden Island and in Cala Feola. As the Fendi Sister, the famous Italian Bag Designers. Or like Beyonce the famous singer. Probably the first Fendi Baguette was designed here. But I’m not sure. So please do not came to My Place. Or better if you came please do not throw or leave your tissues, bottles etc on the beach. Because at the sunset Gennaro, Aniello, Giancarlo etc required Us to clean the bay. And we prefer play football at the sunset. Or dance with Elia and his staff on my nephew music. His name is Umberto. And since he’s awsome pay attention: because I’m gelous! This was a great place 5-6 years ago, it is an absolute waste now. Waiters have no system for seating customers, food comes out of the Kitchen at random times, and service is appaling. If you go to Cala Feola, bring a lunch. Cause this place isn’t up to par

Local cala feola directly on the sea, there are also tables right on the rocks (locate at the time of booking). menu exclusively of fish, both for lovers of raw and cooked. Truly delicious tuna tartare, never eaten good so! not cheap prices, but adapted to quality and location. only small negative note: the portions are very small.
