Restaurant bewertenMy wife, her friend and their dogs went for an expended walk. I was deputed to find lunch. This was the first restaurant I came across immediately across the road from the main riverside car park and almost next to the Ponte itself. It looked fine and the menu was comfortably OK for my vegetarian wife. She had battered filleted fish and her friend and I had lamb, which we mistakenly thought would be roast lamb, since the menu said Lamb from the Oven. Wrong! Slow roasted ribs. The batter on my wife's fish was not crisp but our lamb was flavoursome properly cooked and plentiful. Starters were fine, and we did not have the sweet options. The white wine bottle and the glass of red were very good, as were the coffees. All in all succesful 200 km round trip, and the dogs got to swim in the river. Except the whippet, who will walk around puddles!
Not that I have ever been to prison but the lamb for 2 was dreadful. It was cooked to within an inch of its life and there was shredded bone that had to be microscopically removed before eating to ensure one didn't have an injury caysed by ingesting bone shards. Not acceptable in the oldest and most beautiful town in Portugal sadly. Won't be returning Ever..
My wife and I split an order of the lamb and it was almost more than we could eat. It was as perfectly cooked. The service was attentive. We experienced none of the problems mentioned in some other reviews. The ambiance was great—a very pleasant evening.
Optima esplanada , doses grandes e bem confecionadas ., Óptima relação qualidade preço
Comida óptima, serviço rápido e simpático, excelente qualidade preço. Doses generosas! Só fica é muito perto da estrada e o espaço é pequeno. Uma dose dá, sem dúvida para dois adultos e uma criança.
