Lesceri' - POMPEI

We are staying in the Pompeii Resort hotel and went to the house restaurant because it was so convenient after a long travel day. Boy, are we glad we did! We took the menu of the day which comprised a small appetizer, choice between fish or meat pasta, choice between fish or meat main dish, a side dish plus desert. We all took the fish version (pasta had shrimps and cuttlefish, secondo had cuttlefish, too) and two of us took the grilled vegetables as side, the third the salad. The salad was just green lettuce (with make-your-own vinaigrette), the grilled vegetables were very nice. Pasta and 'secondo ' likewise. This was followed by a dessert (fresh fruit, or gelato, or a cake). Oh, and even the water, bread and a glass of wine were included (we all had the white which was very decent). This was not the most sophisticated meal in my life but very, very nice. And all that at an unbeatable price. An excellent value in a nice environment with attentive waiters: we were thirsty and they must have refilled the water (frizzante) three or four times, without us even asking for it.
