Restaurant bewertenGreta location for exploring the old port. Exceptionally comfortable beds and pillows. Poor breakfast. Wifi cut early in the morning before check out… which was not impressive.
One thing to notice: the hotel is divided into four buildings on the same street (not a problem as they are near one another). It is very well situated and has a beautiful garden where one enjoys a great breakfast with vegan options (milk and yoghurt among other things). It's a bit pricey for what you get. Rooms and renovated and well equipped (although small), but there's this omnipresent exterior AC unit noise (unfortunately also present in the garden) that is disturbing, especially at night. The biggest problem was that our room (100, I think) was mouldy and guests definitely shouldn't be placed there as mould is very unhealthy. There was mould on curtains and on the window frames and that strong specific odor. Wallpapers were also coming off in a couple of places (room was renovated but just on the surface, the excess humidity, i. e. mould, wasn't really solved). This wasn't clear at first, as AC was cranked up (it was cold in the room) so it disguised the problem, but when we left it turned off during the day it smelled horrible when we came back in the evening. There were no instructions to leave the AC on at all times which isn't a solution anyway. However, the staff was very friendly and helpful so they immediately gave us a new room. It was much better but also not 100 okay (moist plaster around windows). So, I suppose that specific house they placed us into has a problems with moisture (at least on the ground floor). Just avoid it or ask for another room. I do recommend the hotel for all the positive things it has to offer, but just be aware if this. That room should really be closed.
The best thing this place has for it is the location which is great. Rooms are very small even by Europeans standards and it's a bit inconvenient to have the lobby not attached to the hotel. The staff at reception was a mixed experience. The guy from Peru was very helpful and friendly, but one lady in the day staff spent well over and hour chatting with what I assume was her boyfriend. Not very professional. The breakfast was very nice and the restaurant staff was nice. Would not stay here again though just because of the very tiny rooms.
We found this superb hotel next to the vieux port by case... the location is just perfect. The rooms are new, clean, well equiped and the bed is very conforteable. The only things that could be integrated is the breakfast because now you have to pay 13 euros more por person if you want it... much more expensive than going to a boulangerie in the nearbys. Prices are good for a city that is quite expensive.
Run! If you got a room number 110. we wanted a quiet room, but the staff gave us a room near the outdoor air conditioner unit which continuously makes noise. She told us that all rooms were full when we asked to change the room. She lied, because I found I still could book a room online for that day. Then she helped me to change another room. I don't understand why the reception staff don't want to help their guests to have a nice staying.
