Restaurant bewertenA nice dinner and a breakfast here during my stay at Hotel Monaco. The gnocchi and burgers were wonderful, but the real star was the breakfast sandwich and accompany **** Larry . Excellent recommendations and service of Art, Celeste, and the host staff. Good for the higher price for the scientific finer food service and a perfectly curated meal. Don't miss this place!
Came for brunch with a medium-sized group. The service can run a little slow on busy days, but that was good for us. Everyone we were interacting with was super friendly. The food is delicious, I recommend sharing a few different plates. The chicken and waffles with hot honey was a favorite. You also have some good cocktails, we enjoyed the **** Larry . Overall a great place to come for a good meal and a good time with friends.
The Commoner is creativity and creativity. Each exit from the normal is carried out mentally and skillfully. The peasant tomato toast with Burrata and Balsamico vinaigrette was a perfect example that I could not call all ingredients and any texture was satisfied. The scallops were perfectly prepared. The mustard cream sauce with the pig was decadent. It's hard to say that there was a weak court somewhere. The service was fantastic and the atmosphere is great for a date night.
We really liked it. I was on a restaurant in the same building with a hotel and beer garden. The staff was very nicely dressed, with some guests in suits and others in under Armor T-shirts. It was a little strange to see such a wide range of fashion sense hah. Anyway, the dishes we had were great: crispy potatoes, beef tars, roasted pork schnapps, the smash burger and a cheesecake beak. Cocktails were interesting and we enjoyed the ones we have. All in all, we'd go back. Close to a parking garage, which is very nice in view of a downtown location.
Stayed at the Kimpton Hotel Monaco for a getaway weekend and the staff recommending trying The Commoner. We listened and wanted to go for every meal for the rest of the trip! My friends and I split the gnocchi and crispy potatoes while sipping fabulous cocktails and sours and each time we took a sip or bite we threw our heads back in utter delight. The bartenders were observant and helpful without seeming insincere. At the end of our night I really wanted to try the creme brulee and the gentleman recommended a port that paired excellently with it. Unfortunately the only item I remembered to snap a pic of was the dessert, but it was lovely. Would definitely recommend The Commoner to anyone seeking a unique and fun place in Pittsburgh!
