Restaurant bewertenAmazing Mediterranean! My original spot for classic shawarma platters. Platters include rice with two sides which is great, other places usually don?t include rice. Given with whole, fresh pita bread. Food is always quality made and fresh. Highly highly recommend!
Not sure what is happening in this establishment and to the service industry in this town, in general. A neighborhood staple for years, the Daily Bread in Pinecrest has declined in cleanliness and quality of service as of late. Today I got into a thing with the clerk over a 1 oz container of tahini. If it's about the cost, charge it as an additional offering. We paid $13.00 for a platter with two sides, another 50 cents or one more dollar is not going to make that much of a difference, in the end the meal would have been more memorable and satisfying. Rude and inattentive staff, the works. Bad customer service comes from the top in my opinion, if the owners don't appreciate the people who are making their business viable, then it trickles down to their staff and of course the customers. A customer of theirs for years, my wife and I used to eat there 2 3 times per week. Today we purchased 2 platters, 3 spinach pies and some vegetarian moussaka, $45 and is the last of our money they will be taking. Never going back again. Plenty of Mediterranean establishments in town, I'll take my money where it is valued. Or even go for a nice drive and visit the original Daily Bread in the Grove.
I not one to write reviews, but this place really left me disappointed. I ordered food on uber eats and the food was very tasteless and bland. We ordered two sides of fries and they were the soggiest fries I ever had in my entire life. Don?t even get me started on the gyro, it tasted very nasty. The chicken platter was not good at all, the rice was very moist and sticky. I wouldn?t eat their food again, even if it was given for free. There?s nothing sadder than spending money on food you didn?t like. Keep that in mind.
The Daily Bread offers a variety of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern cuisine that is healthy and flavorful. They offer different meat and veggie platters, salads, sandwiches, bowls, and sides where the food is composed right in front of you from the array of freshly prepared ingredients. I loved my shawarma sandwich, a mound of delicious meat wrapped in a soft and thin pita and filled with pickled cabbage and tzatziki. The stuffed cabbage platter comes with two sides and I highly recommend the roasted veggies. In addition, the Daily Bread is a marketplace with Middle Eastern groceries and freshly baked pastries and desserts that transports me to another world.
Love this place. Very healthy options and their veal and humus are amazing. Could eat gyro's for the rest of my life from here.
