Restaurant bewertenThis is a cozy little secret downtown that we enjoyed thoroughly. Being small (a former residence), it's a bit cramped, but not uncomfortably so. My brother in law said it was the best steak he'd had in his life. There is also a wine menu with some interesting blends if only I hadn't been driving! Just a caution: it is downtown, and we we lucky enough to find parking just behind the building, which is good because I don't know where else we could have parked. Our wait person was very professional and really seemed as if she enjoyed serving us.
10 out of 10. Everything, from the time we entered to when we left was perfect. Very friendly and thoughtful staff. They work together well. Just as mentioned/suggested by everyone, you must get the dates! You will not be disappointed!? We also had the burrata. So fresh and creamy! The cocktails were so delicious! I had the whiskey smash and my date, the spicy Paloma. Both really good! For dinner we ordered the pork belly and petite steak. The pork just melts in your mouth and the petite steak was cooked to perfection, medium rare. The steak was larger than the petite portions I’m use too?. I wish we had room for dessert. But we left full and happy! And the fact that the menu changes, keeps it interesting. We will definitely be back!!!
My experience at Farish House Restaurant was truly delightful. As a cozy, family-owned bistro, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. We started with two superbly crafted cocktails, the Manhattan and Old Fashioned, accompanied by delicious olives as appetizers. The simplicity of the side salads didn't compromise on taste, and the fish of the day served over lentils and fresh asparagus was a culinary delight. The combination of excellent drinks, delightful dishes, and the restaurant's welcoming ambiance makes Farish House a must-visit gem in the heart of the city. The rating would have been 5 stars if service wasn’t interrupted by a staff meeting in the middle of our dinner….
Farish House has always been a delightful dinner addition to downtown Phoenix, in a charming 1899 bungalow off 3rd Street. Their charcuterie board, their mains, all delightful. But now they've added a spectacular Saturday Afternoon Tea service and it is simply fantastic. A significant spread of four different finger sandwiches, two different scones (with clotted cream and jam , and four desserts, along with a broad tea menu... it's a perfect way to spend a Saturday. And for how generous they are with portions (and the ability to ask for more of each bite! , the value if honestly really great for what you get. Make a point of booking a special afternoon here for tea. (And of course, dinner's great too.
Wanted to share a new (for me) restaurant that I have now tried several times and absolutely love it!!! It's called the Farish House in downtown Phoenix. It checks all the boxes I want when dining out. It's in a historic house so great ambience, super service, not a chain restaurant, and MANY GLUTEN FREE options!! Know that they use quality ingredients and the menu changes so what you see on line may be different from their current menu. It's a great dining experience that I highly recommend!
