Del Taco - Phoenix

A quick drive through order today of just four simple items. One of the items was grilled chicken taco. They did not put the lettuce and cheese on the chicken taco. All I got was the chicken and sauce in the tortilla. I did not have time to go back and get one that was made correctly.

This Del Taco is a homeless hangout spot. Around back, where customers place their orders, homeless people beg customers for stuff, loitering, smoking and drinking, it's crazy! The lady taking my order tonight asked if I was a law enforcement officer because I had a security badge on, I told her no. She informed me she has been meaning to ask me from my past couple visits.. She hands me my drink and informs me she wasn't the one who prepared it [RED FLAG]. I immediately threw the whole meal away as it was obvious someone tampered with it because they believed I was an officer. Do not go to this place, it is a nightmare!

As far as Del Taco goes I definitely don’t hold very high expectations, so with that said the same would go for this location. It’s not in the best area, it’s also located in a difficult spot to get in and out of at times depending on how busy it is. But I can’t knock them too hard they do complete the orders correctly and the food is pretty good quality. Overall I wouldnt say it’s anything special but it is a good spot to get a quick bite to eat!Wheelchair accessibility: Wheel chair accessible

Place is dirty, the bathroom smells bad, workers kept going in and out of the building. For the amount of men that seemed to have been employees the lobby should have been much cleaner than it was especially since there were not many customers at the time. I would give Zero Stars to all of the above. Also the food was cold. It's too bad that there is no pride left in employees to represent the company that they work for good quality and cleanliness.

I went thru the drive thru so I can't say how the atmosphere was inside the lobby but I can tell you, the food was hot, freshly made, and friendly fast service. Although, there was a group of people, I'd say proba ly 6 or more, just standing around (looked like most of them were on something or another) and they were right on the curd of where you pull into the drive thru area. Wouldn't move for any of the cars going into it. But I understand it isn't the workers fault. But maybe they could ask them to move or leave and if they refuse get authorities involved. Just for the customers and their own safety, honestly. I didn't feel like I was in danger by any means, but ya never know what could happen or what people are capable of or what they could do. Esp people on drugs or that are drunk. But overall my experience wasn't bad. Like I said, food was great and staff friendly and helpful.
