Unbelievable, my best friend and I came here to get coffee and majority of the coffee was cold. There were no flavor creamers, only healthy creamers Seems to me they’re only trying to please these uppity college kids and yuppie people . There were a few customers in here the poor employees we’re working hard and very sweet I hope they’re getting paid more money to run around, going and getting customers items, run the front end, make fresh the coffee. The poor employee that helped us when he finally could he had to tell us to hold on.we watched him help back behind the fast food part , put a fresh pot of coffee on the counter and then turn around come ring us up and give me my chicken bites that were behind the counter, that I can no longer just grab. I I had to wait fir him to get them for me, they only have two self checkouts and only one worked. He was so sweet and three people walked out without getting anything because nobody was there to help them and they could not just get their stuff and go. Also parking you have to pay for as well and it only lets you pay for X amount of minutes and I had paid for 24 minutes and we barely made it back before time was out. I will not return to this wawa. I hope that they discontinue this and get more security. And they don’t do it to another Wawa. Wawa’s are my favorite.I moved from the south we’re we have only QT and Racetrack were you don’t get fresh coffee, hoagies, and so much more to choose from. I love wawa app because I can just sit in my car choose my pump and then just pump my gas and you get reward points to be able to get free items. If they start doing this to all of them they will loose me as a customer.
The staff are always kind, and this is no fault of their own, but removing all self serve options and shelves is not the way to go. I understand that theft is a big problem, but I think that treating every customer like they are going to steal is a failing business model. Due to the fact that employees must fulfill all orders now, lines are out the door, and mistakes are frequent. There is no world where waiting for a bottle of iced tea should take 10 minutes, when the old system would have been under a minute from entering the store to paying. It's truly unfortunate; I hope Wawa can find another solution soon the current situation is dystopian.
The new all-digital experience is terrible. The employees tell us it’s because of infection prevention purposes. Everyone in Philly knows it’s because of theft. I don’t have all the answers but I know this is not it. This idea is terrible, I will go out of my way to another Wawa or just go to the 7/11 100 feet away. What a let down from a life long Philly resident.
It 's a very busy location between Penn and Drexel students. Or just others who live around it. They recently changed it to no more self service at all. You wait for employees to give you everything. Waiting here for a sandwich or drink was already a very long wait. Now, it 's forever. You will not leave within 15 minutes of entering the store. Food is the same. It 's packed and looks terrible with all the white walls blocking a good portion of the store. Given how it was changed you 'd think they would have more employees around. It 's unclear if they have more per shift but they are swamped with work. Trying to get someone just to ask a question such as can I get my one pretzel? I 've been waiting for 15 minutes like I just did. I was told there are none. Thankfully someone who looked like a manager over heard it and offering stuffed pretzels. She was good but the layout and everything changed or unchanged shows how out of touch whoever decided them really is.
