Restaurant bewertenWhat an excellent implementation of a Vino Volo. I 've been to them at other airports and this is one of the best ones as far as space. It looks like they expanded a bit out of their space and added some tables to the side. It 's nice to sit in the open rather than inside their store . It wasn 't overly crowded but I can see it getting cramped if a lot of people are there. This is the first airport place I 've been where I 've seen the charging brick with multiple USB outlets and a regular AC jack. We asked the waiter for it and were able to charge our phones. What else? Oh yeah! The wine! Reds were the choice of the day so we chose two of the different red flights. I 'm no wino, so I appreciated the presentation of the wine glasses with an explanation of the things you should be tasting (fruit, cocoa, cinnamon, spices as well as some basic categorization of the wine (Robust, Light, etc. . If you 're not sure, ask the waitstaff as they seem pretty knowledgeable and can help you decide. The flights are a great way to try different wines . You can even buy bottles to go if you 'd like. This was everything I expected a wine bar at an airport to be, plus great service and charging!
My brie sandwich with pastrami was good, but not amazing. I liked the cornichon sides. My wine flight was fun, with the descriptions on the paper of what I was having. It's a nice classy stop in the airport. Not crowded and I could choose my seat immediately
I stop by this place every time I'm flying out of the Philly airport since it's conveniently located right outside security. Its a bright, cute space and the wine flights are usually a good deal. I recently had a flight of the Spring Whites and an order of the Lentil Soup. The wines were all really great! The Lentil Soup was disappointing as the lentils were hard, the soup lacked flavor and was overwhelmed with tomato paste. Also, even though I know it's in the airport, the portion was extremely small for the price $11 . I enjoyed my wine though so I will continue to come back here, but I'll just skip the Lentil Soup :
Mediocre food. Terrible service. Can't comment on the wine or wine prices. Tried to use two small tables so I could make room for my food and laptop and was rudely told they needed the table for other patrons since I wasn't ordering wine. The entire time I was there, there were at least 5 of these tables open. Also, the only beverages they have are wine/beer and bottled water. Skip this one.
Sat there for 20 mins while the server sat there in front of the camera and never greeted me. Finally had to say hello loudly for her to come out. Her first words were, the kitchen is closed. It was 7:20ish, and I just wanted a glass of wine before my flight. I asked if I could get wine, she said, Yeah. I asked for a glass of Cade, which is $41, but asked if the bottle was opened recently, and she just said, nah. Red doesn't do well on the shelf and for $41 a glass, it didn't seem reasonable. So I said nevermind and said the service was not good, but thank you. She respond, no it wasn't, how? I explained my wait, as she had watched me on camera there and was rude.To which she kept saying, no it wasnt. I fly a lot, by far the rudest service.
