Tip's Ribs Bbq Catering - Petersburg

Seriously, go here!!! We had the rib shell and the minced meat shell... incredible is a bottom!! The owner is very nice, he let us sample his smoked chicken as we don't get one. I mean, he just gave us a whole chicken leg and thigh with mustard sauce! It was fantastic. I'll think about the food. In any case also his wife Mac and cheese!!!! And the greens, only wow. If we don't live 6 hours away, we would definitely accompany this wonderful family our wedding. We will do our best to make it back later, which is how great it is!!

He spoke to the owner and told me to write a review. From the beaten path, but what a gem. The Bbq and the chicken were amazing. And the sauces complement the perfect compliment. Really recommend checking it out. Highly rated for one reason

Passed from this place many times, always wanted to check it so glad I finally!!!! Absolutely some of the best food and nicest people you will find in the area!! Everything's so good. This is one of our favorite spots now. I rarely write reviews, but this deserves my time! Once you try, you will know why they are the highest rated BBQ place in the area on Google!

Stopped by this place today and all I can say is... I've found the best BBQ in Virginia. I pride myself on being a foodie and Tip's did not disappoint. The owner met us outside and began plying us with samples of everything. He, his wife and staff are very warm and friendly. I wanted to order everything on the menu (seriously) but ended up saving it for my next visit. I ordered the ribs, mac and collards and didn't even make it out of the parking lot. Yep, it is that good! The BBQ sauce is on point too. Call before you head down but when they are open be prepared for amazing BBQ.

Visited for lunch today with my partner. We ordered ahead and the food was ready. So can't complain about that. Should have been a quick trip but we became memorized with the hospitality and wonderful conversation from the owner and his wife while the intoxicating scent of his smoker filled the air. Both my partner and I ordered the ribs and the BBQ. Both were amazing and none which made it home to the wives which the owner suggested might happen). If you are in the area do yourself the favor of stopping and filling you stomach and your soul. Places like this don't after come around and I pray they open one in Newport News so that I can eat there daily.
