Smithmore Castle - Penland

We had our dream wedding at Smithmore Castle on 10/21/23. I wish we could give more than 5 stars to this venue. The venue is one of the most beautiful, magical places you will ever be and we are so blessed to have had our wedding here. Our guests were blown away with the view, the wonderful staff and the gourmet food prepared by Chef Benjamin! It was so special. We HIGHLY recommend this venue and cannot wait to go back soon!!

We hosted our daughter’s wedding at the Smithmore Castle. We loved the event space, and the staff was extremely accommodating and kind. The venue was beautiful, truly everything we dreamed of and more. Chef Benjamin’s custom cake was exquisite. The chef was even able to prepare a completely separate dish for our guest with food allergies. We are so happy with how our special day turned out! Thank you Smithmore! Rooms: 5

Food was exceptional. Chef Ben runs an extraordinary kitchen with imagination and flair. He’s also very friendly. The staff is wonderful with Deborah who gave an impeccable tour. They were low key and accommodating. The location is a dream from the Audio tour and amenities. This is all topped off my an amazing room with breathtaking detail. Rooms: 5

Smithmore castle was a beautiful experience, from the gorgeous views to the incredible service if you have been looking for a good getaway or even a nice venue this is the place to have it. Food drinks: Much of what you consume here is delicious but a special nod to the desserts especially the tiramisu! Noteworthy details: Great staff—to name a few, Jessica, Ben, Rob and Christine make sure that your stay is the best it can be. Rooms: 5
