Restaurant bewertenEverything was delicious, the service was fast, the music enjoyable. get the carpaccio and the strega salat.
Wow ! New ownership has turned this place around. From the music to the appetizer bread to main courses all is simply delightful. The manager whose name we didn't catch unfortunately was training a new hire. Service service service is what he is preparing his team for! Has the gnocchi with 4 cheese sauce, it was perfection. Husband has the angel hair with grilled chicken and Alfredo, he cleared his plate, to give you an idea! The flavors were perfect accompanied by personalized service. Will be returning!
The place is kind of hidden; it's nested within a bunch of professional offices. The environment is good, the food is very good, the price is high-end, the chef takes ample time to prepare the food, the servers forgot one of my order, and one of the servers seem losing her mind. No doubt, the restaurant attracts a crowd even at lunch time.
Really nice Italian restaurant in Pembroke Pines. I was looking for something good in this area for a Dinner with friends and decided to try La Strega which looked Elegant yet Unpretentious. Upon arrival the hostess was very friendly and very personable. They sat us immediately and the restaurant ambiance is just like in the pictures.... elegant and fun. Live musician brightens the place up. (A bit loud... but fun) Food was also very nice.... nice portions ... not big not small. Fried calamari was nice and crispy and the sauce was light. The Strega salad was very good.love salads with beets. Spaghetti bolognese was light.. a bit too tomato-based but good. Fettuccine Alfredo sauce was not heavy at all. Creamy and luscious. Meat lasagna that our waiter recommended was excellent... I wish I could have that again for breakfast. Tuna steak dish was perfect... nicely seasoned and perfectly cooked. Veggies and roasted potatoes side was the perfect accompaniment. Pizza and risotto.... mmmm both incredibly good. I guess I want to say that everything was DELICIOUS. Few misses but really good overall. I would love to come back here soon.
We had a very poor experience at La Strega. When ordering our meal I asked the waiter to bring the salad and our bottle of wine first; but NOT to serve the main dishes too quickly. Not only was the salad dry but before we finished our salad and only had a few sips of wine the main dishes were being served. The food was just OK at best. The dessert menu really had NO traditional Italian items on it, in fact they seemed more Latin than Italian. We ordered dessert and coffee, the dessert was flavorless and stale and our coffee was NEVER SERVED. It is my opinion La Strega may be managed or owned by someone Latin trying to capitalize on the attraction of an Italian restaurant; you judge for yourself. I will give them credit for good presentation, a nice ambiance, live music and a great website. Unfortunately the food and service was unacceptable, so much so that I will not be giving them a second chance.
