Restaurant bewertenSo a great place to drink and eat a drink. we had a drink earlier in the week and came back on Thursday for Steak night. the food was delicious, much of it and cheap. welcome. will definitely go back.
Best bar for miles. Great atmosphere and a great choice of beers and wine
Lovely pub in an equally lovely village . Friendly locals , great beer
Great old fashioned hospitality and a decent quality pint to boot! Dogs welcome except on Thursday nights. Always busy with locals and people from nearby caravan park. Live sports on the TVs all year round. Great staff and a proper landlord! Unfortunately accessibility is an issue as steep steps to both front doors and inside the bar.
The Red Lion is a lovely pub in the heart of Pembridge renowned for its numerous black white half timbered buildings. It does all the things that village pubs should do, with two darts teams and an air gun team and the visitor is likely to find groups playing cribbage or dominoes. Lunch is served Monday to Saturday from 12:00 noon until 3:00 pm. Examples of available dishes are: Ploughmans, Paninis, Bauguettes, Light Bites, Full meals Jacket potatoes, Desserts. Thursday Steak Night has become a legend in the local area Booking in advance is essential in order to get a table on Thursday evenings. Although called Steak Night other dishes with chicken and fish may be booked in advance but at least 24 hours notice is required for those options. Band Nights are a very popular weekend activity and are always well attended. Different groups appear at 4 or 5 weekly intervals and these are publicised both inside the pub and outside on sandwich boards. Names which have become well known and popular locally include Bugs Brummie ; The Barebacks and Mark Walby for example. In addition to keeping four real ales there is a wide selection of lagers, bottled beers and ciders. Many of the beers are from local breweries and one of the most popular ciders Robinsons is brewed in Tenbury Wells. The four available draught beers vary within a small group and their popularity has been determined by demand from the regular clientele of experienced beer drinkers. The Red Lion is extremely popular with visitors to the local award winning caravan park (Townsend Touring Park), many of whom return for lengthy stays at regular intervals. Indeed, many of the caravaners are now on first name terms with the local village regulars. Equally popular with young and old alike, The Red Lion is a vibrant centre of local entertainment, well managed by its friendly, charming and enthusiastic staff of lovely young ladies. Highly recommend this pub it is fantastic!
