Bakwan Sumatera - Pekanbaru

Special source adding to Bakwan. We had Indo mie, vanilla, ice tea. Will come back again

Bakwan Sumatera is the best food there and really cheap as well. Great location. Perhaps needs more cleanliness

The signature dish is bakwan (vegetable fritters) served with sour soup. I don't think you could find many restaurants in Indonesia selling this kind of dish. It's quite rare and worth to try. The price is affordable. It has several menu besides bakwan sumatera. Limited parking area. No air conditioner.

This is a very well known local street food place in Pekanbaru. They probably exist for more than 15 years already. Taste OK, price OK, parking space adequate.. Overall good

Udah setahunan pengen nyobain bakwan sumatra ini karna kata temen enak. Tp karna ga berdomisili di pelanbaru, baru kesampean nyobain kemaren. So I did come with a quite high expectation. Turns out it was a let down. The taste was very so so and too floury to me. Even my mom could make a better bakwan. The filling was carrot and potato, but very little. One of my bakwans didnt even get the filling. The only good thing was their kuah is tasty enough. They charged you Rp. 3k for each bakwan. A fair price.
