Restaurant bewertenAfter last time, we thought we would give this place another go, as the staff were so terrible last time. Everyone is entitled to have a bad day right?Well, I'm sorry to say it was still the same. The staff are inherently angry, and take it out on their customers. Also,They have huge toilets out the back, but if you show up much after 8am, there is no toilet paper, no hand towel, and no soap. I've been to better kept and smelling toilets in third world Asian countries. They stink to high heaven, and are a health hazard. I wonder if the staff use these facilities as well? If so, I wonder where they wash their hands. Food is ordinary just as it was last time. We tried, but I'm sorry to say, never again.
If travelling north on the M1, take the Calga exit and Peats Ridge Road which parallels the motorway but is the scenic route and allows a well worthwhile stop at the Corrugated Cafe at Peats Ridge. Local produce available as well as terrific burgers, sandwiches, coffee and milkshakes. Best detour off the main drag ever. You won't regret it and will very likely make it a must do stop on any future journey. The number of regulars every weekend must mean something!
A large group of us attended the Corrugated Café last Sunday May 21st 2017.The 2 young ladies behind the counter were the worst people I have ever witnessed serving customers.I have never seen people spoken to, or treated this way in all my years of traveling the world.I just hope there were no international travellers passing through here last Sunday.I would have been embarrassed for our country.Yes, they were that bad. Even from early morning, they had the worst attitudes that got worse as the day progressed.Usually young girls are great with all types of customers, young and old alike.Even when it was there mistake (brought out a sandwich on a plate that was asked to be take away) they looked at the customer like it was all their fault, and the elderly customer felt bad when it wasn't even his fault.Thankfully the food is quite good, so you might have a good experience if someone else serves you. What a shame the pair of them work here. These 2 girls have now earned their employers their first "terrible" rating on Trip Advisor.Well done girls!
Since they have tar sealed the car park this is a great pit stop if you are on a motorbike. Bit busy in weekends when nice weather but bikers are friendly. Coffee passable and bacon and egg burger ok and good value. Staff attitude probably varies depending on who is on and how they are feeling and how you treat them. My experiences have always been ok, you just need to say gidday and be friendly and they will normally respond.
Usually send my guests to the nearest eatery for convenience but really the Corrugated Café is more for the local truckies who want to eat and get heartburn on the run. Great if you like an over abundance of bread.....oh for the days of the Old Oak Milk Bar. Pricey and really ordinary for what you pay for. I advise my customers to bring a cut lunch now!
