Restaurant bewertenYou make your own judgement. My work colleague I thought we’d try the restaurant decided to eat in quickly due to only 30mins lunch break we have. Great reception with smiley attentive staff. The food we had, looked nice without WOW factor flavour wise sadly. I had ‘Laksa noodles with chicken and extra tofu vegetables’ and ordered a takeaway’Chill Jam Fried Rice’ which was bland unfortunately. Interior design of the place made me feel like in a cramped space. Actual restaurant name is confusing is it ‘Yaowarat’ which is printed in menu list or ‘Jai Thai Kitchen’ which appears on google map search being in front of the shop appears on my bank statement after paying by credit card. The shop next door is better. I will only go back if I see or feel things have changed for better hence I give 2 star. See 6 pics attached.
We got into the place early, food was served very quickly. It was not too bad, flavours felt a bit watered down. As we were leaving the noise and more patrons increased to the point we were almost shouting at each other. It can get cosy as the place becomes busier. A good place if you want a lunch time feed.
Green chicken curry was hot and spicy! Wonderful flavours. Definitely worth a return visit. Try the scallop entree too. Fabulous!
Takeaway order. Probably the worst Pad Thai I have had, noodles were tasteless. The prawns were dry and tasted like they were frozen prawns.
Portion size was good, the execution was problematic. My omni colleagues had red curry duck and a BBQ meat board. They started with a blackboard special of chicken dim sim. They were steamed to the point that the pastry wrapper was mush. I had red curry and an eggplant stir fry. Both were OK. The red curry was highly reminiscent of valcom curry paste, but I cannot say for sure. The restaurant was near to empty, whereas Temasek next door was overflowing. Should have paid attention to that. They have some work to do.
