Restaurant bewertenMy cousin lives around the corner from IL Russo and it's one of her favourite places to eat. As we were staying with her it also became a favourite of ours. Eric is such a character and loves to serve you his authentic Italian dishes. No set menu as it depends on what Eric has cooked. Sitting outside on a warm summer night with a glass of red in hand, you wouldn't want to be anywhere else. I have given IL Russo a 5 star not because it's anything flash, but because of the whole atmosphere and experience. The food is not fancy, but delicious. We enjoyed 4 great nights here and highly recommend it.
We visited because of the location's connection to the movie Inception. It is a small family run operation. Our server spoke little English, but she was very accommodating and worked hard to make sure we had an enjoyable dining experience. They do not have paper or listed menus but they do a run through of what they're serving that day. The food was enjoyable and gave us the feeling of a homemade meal. We had the antipasto and salad to start, lasagna for the main, and tiramisu for dessert. We enjoyed the people the most. The patrons were locals who all seemed to enjoy our presence there. The owner was jolly, making small talk with the patrons, and always checking to make sure everyone had what they needed. Overall, a great experience. If you get the chance to visit, go for it.
This small bistro is near the area of metro Segur. It is small, most of the tables are for two or four. Food is very good, menu is very simple. The place is charming and the people who serve are great. I loved the fact that they have the table to cut the ham in the middle of the tables area. A very french local place to lunch. hidden in the 7em.
This is one of those places you just happen upon. On our way home one day we walked by and struck up a conversation with the waitress. She helped us located some pasta we were looking to purchase for a dinner. She insisted that we stop by for lunch or dinner which we did. Really casual and unassuming, Il Russo has good Italian food with a staff that literally makes you feel like you are at home. The owner, Eric, has a wonderful sense of humor and will keep you in stitches. We love going there for lunch or dinner, alone or with friends. You can always depend on a good meal, fun experience at a great price.
Il Russo is truly a local favorite, and for good reason. The proprietor is the real deal, an Italian man who serves a limited, ever-changing menu comprised of only the freshest, most high quality ingredients. Eating here is more like being invited into his kitchen than to a restaurant. He usually offers three main choices a night, preceded by a super-fresh salad or the best antipasti I have ever tasted (and we have spent a lot of time in Italy), all breathtakingly well-priced, with a three course menu coming in under thirty euros. Top it off with an excellent and similarly well-priced Montepulciano, and you have struck gold. The beautiful Irish hostess will explain everything from who the neighborhood guests are (one 92-year-old Parisian dame is a daily regular) to how to snag a table outdoors on the quiet and elegantly picturesque corner.
