Restaurant bewertenReally excellent eating. as indians we enjoy spicy eating and were very comprehensible about eating in paris. le numero 13 has changed our views. amazing eating
Typical French brasserie with basic menu. the menu was only in French and I fought something. the waiter didn't want to help me too much, but I worked it out at the end. the meal was well cooked, but there was certainly no oh wow. nice dinner.
The bistro offers 2 daily specials and simple á la card food like burgers, steaks etc. They have the usual selection of reasonable priced French wines of good quality (served from the bottles). They also have a heated terrace closed off to the outside with...plastic curtains where smokers can enjoy their habit under reasonably pleasant conditions (in most places of Paris you have to stand outside in the cold without any protection). Service staff is friendly and speaks English.
We were very happy to end up here for lunch after a few hours in the depressing concrete jungle on the South side of the 13eme. The restaurant is about 15 minutes walk from the Chinese quarter. It it traditional and old world with a...real zinc bar. The menus are correct and and the prices fair. They even offered a vegetarian choice on the menu. Customers were mostly local. Highly recommended local eating spot if you are ever in this part of town. The restaurant is privatisable for about 50 people if you want to organise an event.
