Restaurant bewertenThe welcome was a little cold I find, the server is not very smiling. The food was good and the service was fast! After that I was amazed to see that he added 15% to the addition. Normally I had -the 50% with the fork, but he made a magouille, I let pass... If there wasn’t a discount, I think it’s still not given for the quantity.
Very nice service, good Indian cuisine as we love it
Reserved with TheFork, the promotion has been applied. Respectable restaurant (according to my experience). Not transcendent, but not naze either, this restaurant is above average me. We still feel they don't like too much when you book with TheFork...
Very good value quality price. The dishes are copied
This restaurant was empty on a busy Bastille Day in Paris. We made a reservation through La Fourchette which is associated with Tripadvisor. It is in english TheFork.fr. They supposedly offered us a 50% discount. We arrived a bit hot sweaty and ten minutes late at 2:10 for a 2:00 reservation. The rather surly manager refused to seat us and said we were a no SHOW. We did SHOW. So I refute that. But honestly in Paris as in NYC 15 minutes late is acceptable. So... at the very least this person was unreasonable. He wasn't nice at all. In French we say Accueil or welcome. This man was NOT welcoming in any way. If he represents the restaurant it is no wonder they are totally empty they had one couple only who listened carefully to our complaint. We basically were 10 minutes late and we were nice we asked if we could take out. The restaurant (sort of in France a common thing) closes at 2:30. The man could have been kind. He could have offered a free glass of water to discuss the problem, He refused to discuss it. We were 10 minutes late and that to him was a NO SHOW. He was kind of stupid. We offered to take out which would have been easily accommodated. He said NO. We offered to eat quickly and order quickly in french by the way. He said NO. Actually he was a little miffed as we were leaving I told him I was going to leave him a scathing review which I am doing now. I think he was really a bad people person. Anyone would have offered us a water or to at least discuss the situation. I have no idea who the chef was but the food on the ONE lonely couple at table did not look appetising so I have to say we probably were lucky to not have to eat there. We actually live in the neighborhood so he also lost a customer we could have been a loyal customer if he was nice in literally ANY way and he chose in his MEANNESS to be inhospitable. We asked to emporter which means takeout in French. That would have taken the chef maybe 5 min to make some basmati rice and lamb stew. Stews are already made... we wanted Lamb Vindaloo. But they refused to SEAT US 10 min late. Remember this if you go there they might not seat you. If you are 10 minutes LATE THEY WON'T SERVE YOU THEIR PROBABLY MIDDLING FOOD. SO THE ADVICE I WOULD GIVE TO ANYONE IS THEY MAY HAVE OK MIDDLING FOOD. BUT THEY CERTAINLY ARE NOT HOSPITABLE OR NICE. Please do not go here if you can go elsewhere. I know many indian places in the 11e which are nicer than this place. I say go there with caution. I would add don't use La Forchette or The Fork as I complained and they would not let me leave a review as I had not eaten there. HE wanted to leave at 2:30 for his 2 hour lunch or more. But refusing to seat us at 2:10 I hope you realize this will impact his business which is already quite LOW.
