If I had unpacked my bags and pulled directly into “Cuquita Cookita” without anyone noticeing anything, I would have done it in front of location. this place is a disc shift that blows with a cherry on the top in pink luck and I loved everything about it. I knew I would try in november 2020 after panama was closed for eight months due to a strict pandemic. but unfortunately the restaurant was closed for a long weekend. I have made it priority to go my second trip in september 2021 and made it a special visit to my 50th birthday the restaurant is located in a small pink building in what seems a former residence in the neighbourhood of san francisco in Panama City. this area is a culinary joy with amazing restaurants in every row. but “Cuquita Cookita” pays extra attention to whimsical details that make it a beautiful place for a birthday dinner we arrive early at 11 o'clock, and only the back room was occupied by a group of expats that collect monthly for lunch. I tried to translate our driver who was my friend and I was the phrase “Ladies, Lunch” and he got a kick out. I recommend a reservation or arrive early. the tables are filled in the afternoon and for special occasions large parties were booked. no places in the open, which is a canvas because I could see a beautiful garden area with tables at the entrance, if possible we had all latte and fantasy limonade to start. they came with beautiful presentation. only to surpass from the thun-salats with golden corn that was delicious! I have immersed this from the case of the refrigerator before, when the owner cuquita arias de calvo, to the flower arrangements also for one of the coveted reserved tables. we already had to share on the baked alaskan minicake (the specificity and a brownie. cuquita kept friendly on our table and we told her how beautiful her restaurant was, asked about decor, let her know that I was eager to eat here and it was perfect that I made it back to my birthday, as the place felt like a happy place. and she was very excited about my birthday dinner. an additional pink teufel eat cake also with birthday singing and a candle arrived. so sweet, especially the frosting of the cake. only order if they are ready for a sugar brush. the baked alaskan was perfect. that is it with the pink flowers on it from the pink vintage refrigerator, to the fresh flowers, handmade pink mola kissing on the wallpaper; it's all just a funny, flowery pink explosion I had to look cuquitas cookbook, which looks really nice on my retro kitchen shelf. since I was never able to make this Panama experience again.
